Hello Fellow Explorer, my name is Dawn.
Welcome to my world where dreams and fantasies become wearable. I am a one-woman band, creating fantasy style jewellery, mainly using wire wrapping techniques, in copper and sterling silver-filled copper, and with gemstones - raw, natural, polished or faceted.
Most of my pieces are one of a kind with undercurrents of the celestial, metaphysical, folklore, emotional, nature or the experiential. I feel a deep connection to the universe and our ancient past. I love to soak up the energy of nature and our magical past, and recharge myself regularly at sacred sites, such as stone circles, and in wild places. Some pieces have very old energy in them as a result.
My shop name, Moody Loch, was inspired by a photograph I took from small alcove on the banks of Loch Lomond. My partner and I go there to “skim” flat stones across the loch. The light was fading and my partner looked out over the water and said “That would make a great photo”, I took the photo and it really captured the mystery and depth of Scotland’s wilds for me. I still love it. The photo then became my shop logo as well as inspiring the name.

I am also a singer/songwriter, ancient sites explorer, student of astrology, and an amateur metal detectorist with my partner! I studied psychology and social science to postgrad level, but my first and most enduring loves are art and music. My upbringing was steeped in both, as my family were all artistic in some form or another.
